Katharina is moving (1984)

Four students of literature, two men, two women, who are young and new in town. Their job: They are suppossed to understand the book “In the Course of a Long Memory” by Jürg Läderach. Their set of tools: Adorno, structuralism, a record player and a typewriter plus libraries, copy shops, sythesisers and pop. This doesn’t really match to the avant-garde-text, which in turn does not really match to the reality in which they are living. But they carry it off and stay in love. This simply produced, keen to experiment film presents how they succeed in this and in an enlightening outline paper and narrates a story on diverse levels in which not a single package of “Drum” can be found.
